A brand-new micro bakery has just opened its oven doors in Thornhill!
Welcome to MaMiNa Bakery, a Romanian home bakery in Thornhill Woods specializing in slow-fermented sourdough breads, simple desserts and artisan pies, rosemary olive oil focaccia, traditional Romanian sweets such as “cozonac”, “pasca” and many more, as well as a variety of homemade natural jams.
Every baked item is made fresh, from scratch, in small batches using simple, quality ingredients and the goodness of sourdough.
Homemade sourdough bread (made with a natural starter of wild yeast + bacteria) differs quite a lot from most commercial breads made with cultured baker’s yeast. The long natural fermentation changes the chemistry of the dough and offers many health benefits.
Every loaf or dessert feels like it came straight from my kitchen to yours, and it actually does; handcrafted with love and care, patience and passion, especially for YOU by Alice.
